Profile - Sue Phillips

Susan Phillips has over 25 years experience as a practitioner in Australia. She has practiced as the head of the litigation department for the Public Transport Corporation, and as a partner of a large national firm, before joining Brian Ward & Partners as a Director. Susan has provided, and continues to provide, services to local, national and international clients.

Susan’s experience includes:

  • providing advice, statutory interpretation, and drawing appropriate documentation relating to construction and building contracts, purchase agreements, contractual disputes, insurance matters, lend leasing, real property and property lease/tenancy matters for client’s such as:

    • Air Services Australia
    • Singapore Airlines
    • Cement Australia

  • advising and acting in litigation regarding directors’ duties of public and private companies, administration and insolvency;

Susan has also developed an expertise in the financial services area, and was requested to, and presented, a paper on the Financial Services Reform Legislation at the Financial Planning Association of Australia’s annual conference.

Susan has also provided general advice and litigation services to numerous medical facilities including Mercy & Aged Care, St John of
God Hospitals, and Cabrini. Susan currently is a member of the Ethics Committee of Cabrini Hospital.
