Profile - Malcolm Speed
Malcolm Speed has an extensive career as a legal practitioner and in sports administration roles, most recently as the Chief Executive Officer of the International Cricket Council. He joins Brian Ward & Partners as a member of the Board and his mix of experience will further add to the firm’s expertise in sports and business law.
Malcolm’s experience includes:
- Chief Executive Officer of the International Cricket Council and the Australian Cricket Board (now Cricket Australia);
- presented at a numerous sports law and sports administration conferences both in Australia and overseas;
- founding Vice-President of the Australia and New Zealand Sports Law Association;
- member of the Board of Directors of the Australian Sports Commission.
Malcolm also has experience in the higher education sector, as a lecturer in Sports Governance and Entities with designation of Senior Fellow in Sports law at the University of Melbourne, and as an Adjunct Professor, Business and Law, at Deakin University’s School of Marketing and Management.
