How big is the firm?
We are about twenty five in number and have an energetic and youthful team who thrive of finding innovative solutions to commercial clients in interesting industries.
Which do you regard as interesting industries?
Telecommunications, information technology, travel and tourism, sport, construction, manufacturing and distribution, finance and management are all sectors that present fascinating legal problems.
What sort of work do you do for these clients?
Our legal work falls into two broad categories. The first is business advisory (commercial law and tax & superannuation) and the second is dispute resolution. Our professional teams within the firm are organised around this approach.
Is there anything distinctive about the way your firm practises?
We concentrate on larger assignments that demand a team approach and we are very "hands on". We include our junior lawyers in all stages of transactions to ensure they receive a wide and varied experience.
What are the advantages of your approach?
Our approach ensures that young graduates quickly meet clients, go to meetings, and appear in courts and tribunals and have considerable contact with a senior practitioner who assumes a true mentoring role.

Reputation is now both a firm thing and an individual thing. In other words, clients are increasingly drawn to practitioners who have an industry wide reputation and who are available. Our key has been to develop a reputation for excellence in selected work categories.

How structured is the environment?
The professional
environment has been described as a "loose-tight" structure. We work in
teams. Teams form around client demands and are not an end in themselves.
